Options and pricing
Six-week Course: This complete course is suitable for most training levels and covers all aspects of truffle hunting, from dog training to truffle habitat identification to cooking and infusing with fresh truffles, and more. For the first four weeks the class meets in Woodland, Washington, and the last two weeks you will have the opportunity to find your own truffles in a known truffle patch. The class is limited to five dog/handler teams. Cost is $400 for the course.
Optional Foray for Six-week Course Students: While this foray is completely optional, students have found it to be extremely beneficial to get a clear understanding of the process of truffle hunting. This foray is not only educational, but it is extremely fun, and with the truffle-themed lunch included, extremely delicious as well! The cost for the foray is $150. It is held the weekend prior to the start of class.
Private lessons, beginner: These private lessons are held in Woodland, WA, and are for those just starting their adventures in truffle hunting. These lessons include things like odor imprinting, motivating and reading your dog, and working through distractions. The number of private lessons needed depends on you, your dog, and how quickly you progress. Cost is $50/lesson.
Private lessons, advanced: These lessons are for dogs that are consistently finding hides and targets but have yet to find their first wild truffles. These classes are held in a known truffle patch with a trained dog assisting as needed. These lessons generally last about an hour, and cost $100/session.
